New high speed AutoPad offers increased versatility, reliability and ease of operation for fresh food industry
Reinforcing its position at the forefront of high performance food packaging automation including convergers, seal testers and stackers, Jenton Ariana (www.jentonariana.co.uk) – part of the Jenton Group of companies – has launched its fastest ever automatic pad placing system for use with thermoforming machines producing plastics trays for the fresh food industry.
Jenton Ariana introduced its first AutoPad in 1986 but some 35 years later technology has moved on a bit! Offering the same versatility, reliability and ease operation as previous models, the latest super efficient AutoPad is specially designed to handle pre-cut fully sealed Uni-Dry absorbent pads which are primarily for the packaging of protein. It is capable of achieving speeds up to 120 Uni-Dry pads per minute.
As the most efficient and hygienic way to ensure complete pad placing in trays, the flexible AutoPad features adjustable magazines to suit different pad sizes and applications. Even where a variety of pads are used, changeover from one size to another takes a matter of seconds. The system offers adjustable stepper driven row positioning and positive pad ejection.
The compact pad placer boasts a small footprint and floor mounted frame with heavy duty lockable telescopic slides, allowing it to be quickly pulled out of line for maintenance and / or access to the thermoformer.
Easy to set up and operate via HMI colour touchscreen, Jenton Ariana’s AutoPad is produced from strainless steel, IP67 compliant and offers simple connection to the thermoformer for true fit and forget operation. It virtually eliminates the possibility of trays without pads.
Jenton Ariana has been designing and manufacturing food packaging equipment since the 1980s. Innovative design combined with reliable and elegantly simple function has led to the development of a wide range of advanced convergers, seal testers, conveyor control systems and pad placers.
The company offers bespoke design capabilities whilst existing machines can be fully refurbished and brought up to the latest technical specifications.
At its Whitchurch-based facility, Jenton Group offers a full workshop for equipment repair and maintains an extensive stock of spares in addition to having a number of service engineers available for on-site repairs and maintenance.
