MDVN 53 compressors modified by ROTAIR according to KG standards Bontira’s needs improve the performance and efficiency of screed and underlayment machines.
ROTAIR SpA, a leading company in the design, manufacturing and distribution of advanced portable air compressors, multifunctional dumpers and hydraulic breakers, with over 60 years of experience and part of the ELGi Equipments Limited group, has been collaborating with KG for several years Bontira, an Italian company specializing in construction machinery, has been supplying customized engine-driven compressors for several years, meeting the company’s specific requirements in terms of size, power, and reliability.
ROTAIR responded by offering the customization of its MDVN 53 REHLKO STAGE V KG compressor. «Right from the start, ROTAIR has demonstrated its ability to listen to our needs. While other suppliers were unable to meet our space and compact design needs, ROTAIR proved responsive, flexible, and innovative, offering a customized approach that met all our expectations. We have received reliable equipment backed by ROTAIR’s technical expertise, further enhancing the value we offer to our customers,” said Filippo Stabellini, Head of Production at KG Bontira.
The ROTAIR MDVN 53 compressor is designed for reliability and versatility on construction sites, with an air outlet temperature of 40°C (72°F) and operating pressures of 7 bar (102 psi), 10 bar (145 psi) or 12 bar (174 psi), with a minimum working pressure of 5 bar (73 psi).
The MDVN series combines a compact, ergonomic and durable design with the lowest sound pressure levels required by current legislation and emissions fully compliant with the latest global environmental standards. Each unit features an integrated aftercooler and condensate filtration system, ensuring a reliable supply of cool, dry air for a wide variety of applications.
Designed for maximum usability, the compressors feature easy accessibility for maintenance, a centralized control panel for simple monitoring, and an intelligent system that prevents starting load on the motor and allows low-pressure shutdown. The single-button “No Key” start, together with an anti-repeat system that protects the starter motor, further improves operational reliability.
As part of the collaboration with ROTAIR, KG Bontira has supplied its customers with over 70 different portable compressors, 12 of which were delivered in 2025 alone. The company plans to maintain an annual delivery rate of approximately 40 machines with customized ROTAIR solutions.
