Stonhard, the global leader in high-performance seamless flooring, wall, and lining systems, has acquired PAVA, an Italian manufacturer recognised for its innovative resin-based flooring and coating technologies.
Kemtile is a division of Stonhard providing single-source hygienic flooring solutions to customers across the UK, specialising in pharma, food and beverage, data centres, general manufacturing and defence sectors. It was acquired by Stonhard in 2018.
This latest acquisition strengthens Stonhard’s position in the resin flooring market while
expanding its capabilities in decorative and speciality resin solutions. It also supports the company’s continued investment in European manufacturing, research, development, and installation capabilities.
Founded in 1978, PAVA has built a strong reputation for developing advanced mineral and resin-based systems used across a wide range of sectors, including
construction, food production, healthcare, and commercial environments.
The company’s portfolio includes epoxy and polymer-based coatings designed for floors, walls, and protective surfaces, offering durability, chemical resistance, and aesthetic versatility.
Stonhard has over 100 years expertise in the design, manufacture, and install of high-performance epoxy, urethane, and resin flooring systems for demanding environments worldwide. Its seamless flooring solutions are widely used in industries such as food and beverage processing, healthcare, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and technology facilities.
Fred Verdouw, Managing Director of Stonhard Europe, said: “The acquisition of PAVA marks an important step forward for Stonhard in Europe. Their expertise in advanced mineral and resin-based technologies and decorative systems complements our own high-performance industrial flooring solutions and strengthens our ability to support customers across a wide range of industries.
“By combining our global capabilities with PAVA’s formulation expertise, we are well-positioned to accelerate innovation and expand our presence in key European markets,” he added.
The integration of PAVA into the Stonhard organisation will strengthen collaboration in
research and product development, supporting the continued advancement of
high-performance and sustainable resin technologies.
Customers will benefit from expanded technical expertise, a broader product portfolio, and enhanced service capabilities across Europe and globally.
While remaining aligned with Stonhard’s broader organisational strategy, PAVA will continue to operate with its established team and technical expertise, leveraging the global reach, resources, and operational strength of Stonhard to ensure continuity and enhance reliability for customers.
Tim McCulloch, President of Stonhard, added: “The addition of PAVA to the Stonhard family reflects our continued commitment to innovation, technical excellence, and delivering best-in-class resin solutions to customers worldwide. PAVA’s strong reputation, deep formulation expertise, and customer-focused approach align perfectly with our values and long-term vision. Together, we look forward to accelerating product development, expanding our capabilities globally, and creating even greater value for our customers and partners.”
