Mettler-Toledo to showcase product quality and compliance solutions at FACHPACK 2025

From food to pharmaceuticals, Mettler-Toledo will spotlight precision technologies in checkweighing, metal detection and x-ray inspection, helping manufacturers reduce waste, boost productivity and meet strict quality standards. Giesen, Germany. 30th June 2025 – Mettler-Toledo Product Inspection, a global leader in precision instruments and inspection solutions, will be exhibiting at FACHPACK 2025 from 23rd to 25th September in Nuremberg, Germany. The company will present its latest innovations for contamination detection, weight control and label verification, helping manufacturers meet food and pharma safety regulations, improve productivity and reduce costly waste. Visitors to Hall 3C, Booth 511 will see two flagship systems live on stand, the X12 X-ray Inspection System and the CM Combination System. The latter integrates checkweighing and metal detection technologies into one compact, space-saving unit, ideal for manufacturers looking to maximise line efficiency without compromising on quality control. Both systems reflect the Mettler-Toledo commitment to helping manufacturers combat rising costs and boost productivity in complex production environments.

The CM Combination System, combining dynamic checkweighing and metal detection, helps manufacturers control product weight and detect ferrous and non-ferrous metal, as well as stainless steel from the line in a single space-saving unit. A shared user interface enables smooth product changeovers and real-time monitoring, supporting consistent line performance. With configurable options for both technologies, the CM offers the flexibility to suit many applications across food and pharma production.

The X12 X-ray Inspection System offers reliable detection of a wide range of physical contaminants, including metal, glass, stone, calcified bone and dense plastics, across a broad spectrum of packaged food products. This high performing single-lane x-ray inspection system features a HiGain detector as standard, which generates sharper images to deliver outstanding contaminant detection. Its modular design and intuitive software support rapid set-up, while built-in product integrity tools allow manufacturers to complete multiple quality assurance checks, helping to reduce waste and avoid costly recalls.

Label inspection also plays a key role in reducing risk, especially as labelling regulations tighten across global markets. The Mettler-Toledo vision inspection systems help detect label defects and verify printed data, supporting traceability and helping to prevent mislabelling issues that can lead to recalls or rejected shipments. Information on the full vision range will be available at the booth.

Specifically for food manufacturers, Mettler-Toledo will also feature its ProdX™ data management software, which takes product inspection technologies to the next level by extending their data management functionality. The ProdXTM software saves food manufacturers time and money by automating the monitoring, reporting and collating of all product inspection activities in real-time. The safely stored data can help manufacturers grow their business by facilitating food safety regulatory compliance. It enables taking due diligence to the next, higher level with more effective brand protection measure. By analysing the data, production line improvements can be identified thereby helping to boost productivity and combat rising costs.

“FACHPACK is a great opportunity for us to present the breadth of our product inspection technologies,” says Rainer Mundt, Head of Marketing for Product Inspection, Mettler-Toledo Garvens GmbH, Germany. “Our first consideration is always to look in detail at the customer’s application; we explore the specialised requirements of each production line and the individual products in order to identify the best inspection solutions for effective contaminant detection, quality assurance, plus weight and label control. Once installed, our advanced inspection solutions help manufacturers achieve their quality assurance aims plus reduce waste, protect profits, facilitate compliance, and optimise productivity.”

Also on the stand will be Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) weighing components from the Mettler-Toledo Industrial division. These components include load cells, weigh modules and sensors, providing precise and reliable weighing solutions for diverse applications.
