Trelleborg Sealing Solutions extends its range of FoodPro® sealing materials, with the launch of FoodPro® E75F2, a new universally compliant material that meets the most comprehensive global food contact material regulations. Specifically engineered for universal use in food and beverage processing applications, FoodPro® E75F2 is compatible with virtually all food products and cleaning regimes.
Part of Trelleborg’s FoodPro® Ethylene Propylene Diene Rubber (EPDM) range of materials, the universal compliance of FoodPro® E75F2 makes it easy for manufacturers of food and beverage equipment to specify materials that work in their products globally, saving time and costs.

“What makes our new FoodPro® E75F2 material unique is its versatility. Processing equipment manufacturers no longer need to specify sealing materials for each piece of equipment dependent on geographical use, process media, and cleaning regimes. This saves significant time, reduces complexity, and simplifies manufacturing processes.
“This new material complements our existing FoodPro® E75F1 material, which also meets all relevant global food contact regulations, and due to its low levels of carbon black, it meets the strict US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements for use in equipment processing infant formula.”
To ensure the broadest possible use for the materials in the food and beverage industry, each material has undergone rigorous testing, including tests to prove the material’s compatibility with process and cleaning media according to DIN ISO 1817. This involved testing materials in numerous media, including sodium hydroxide 2%, steam, alkaline and acidic cleaners, at elevated temperatures for 168 hours. Trelleborg’s FoodPro® EPDM material range demonstrated good, really good, or excellent performance with all cleaning agents tested, retaining hardness and tensile strength, while exhibiting minimal volume change.
Most importantly, FoodPro® EPDM materials comply with all major global food contact regulations, including US FDA CFR 21; European Union (EU) Regulation (EC) 1935/2004; EU Regulation (EC) 2023/2006 GMP; Rubber specific EU member state regulations; Chinese GB 4806.1-2016, GB 4806.11-2016, GB 9685-2016; 3-A Sanitary Standards; USP 87 and 88; REACH Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 and ADI – No animal derived ingredients in the material recipe. In addition, compounding and manufacturing of FoodPro® EPDM materials is according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
FoodPro® E75F2 is a 70 shore EPDM universal sealing material for static and dynamic applications, for universal use in a full range of processing environments and applications including separators, decanters, valves, pipe couplings, filling machines and CIP/SIP cleaning equipment.
FoodPro® E85F2 is a 80 shore EPDM material that demonstrates similar properties to FoodPro® E75F2. The material’s increased hardness offers enhanced extrusion resistance and is designed for use in high-pressure applications.
FoodPro® E75F1 is a 70 shore EPDM material for static and semi-dynamic applications and meets all relevant global food contact regulations including the strict FDA requirements for use in equipment processing infant formula.
