DKSH has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Shin-Etsu, a global leader in high-quality cellulose ethers, to expand the availability of its Metolose and Tylopur, a registered trademarked range of food ingredient solutions, in Great Britain. Through this partnership, DKSH will support Shin-Etsu’s growth in the region by providing end-to-end market expansion services
DKSH’s Business Unit Performance Materials, a leading distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients, will provide marketing, sales, logistics, distribution, and regulatory support services for Shin-Etsu’s Metolose and Tylopur product range for the food industry in Great Britain, building on successful collaboration in other markets in Europe. The exclusive partnership focuses on supporting the expansion of Metolose and Tylopur solutions across the food and beverage industry, enabling manufacturers to enhance product quality and performance.
Metolose and Tylopur are Shin-Etsu’s trademarked methylcellulose and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose solutions used in key food applications such as plant-based meat alternatives and gluten-free bakery. These ingredients enhance product texture, stability, and performance, enabling manufacturers to meet evolving consumer demands. Produced in Germany and Japan, Metolose and Tylopur products are recognized for their consistent high quality and advanced functional performance.
Building on an existing partnership in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland Shin-Etsu has once again entrusted DKSH to grow its food and beverage ingredients business in the United Kingdom. This is thanks to DKSH’s strong local market knowledge, established customer relationships, and integrated service offering, enabling faster and more effective market penetration.
