Laboratoire PYC has been a French manufacturer of diet products and food supplements for more than 30 years. 2022 marks the extension of the vegan line. Several references high in plant proteins have just been launched as well as new vegan formulas for food supplements.
New protein snacks
3 new dietetic references rich in plant-based proteins are now available from Laboratoire PYC: ‘Veggie popped crisps’ and two references of vegan filled wafers.
The wafers are formulated with brown rice protein and yellow pea protein. In addition, they are formulated without palm oil. Two flavours are available: coffee delight and chocolate flavour.
‘Veggie popped crisps’ are savoury popped snacks made from soy, pea and bean. Each sachet provides 13 grams of protein. These references are both high in fibre and low in sugar.
New protein mixes to rehydrate
A new line of protein mixes on a plant base and in powder form are offered. They provide 15g of protein and are reconstituted with water.
4 flavours are available:
– Chocolate-peanut flavour drink
– Strawberry-banana flavour drink
– Praline hazelnut cream with hazelnut pieces
– Leek and potato flavoured soup
The strong point of this range is the use of innovative and non-allergenic proteins. The products are made up of a mixture of 2 vegetable protein sources (pea, pumpkin seed) and a yeast protein which together give a complete amino acid profile.
The yeast protein has the advantage of being neutral in taste. This protein is manufactured in France and its production method (fermentation) has little carbon impact; its manufacture requires little water and energy and therefore has a reduced environmental footprint. Yeast protein is one of the breakthrough innovations in the world of non-animal proteins.
From a nutritional point of view, all references are reduced in carbohydrates and low in sugars.
Vegan food supplements
In food supplements, the vegan offer is not left behind with the recent launch of vegan beauty gummies and immunity gummies. On the slimming front, a vegan and clean label ‘flat belly’ food supplement has also been launched.
Laboratoire PYC formulates, produces and packages products for international brands in the field of nutrition.
