Zooca strengthens science platform with appointment of Lisa Myrseth Hemmingsen

Zooca (Calanus AS) has appointed Lisa Myrseth Hemmingsen as Head of Science, Human Health and Nutrition, strengthening its scientific platform and advancing
documentation for Zooca® Calanus® Oil, the company’s distinctive marine oil for human health applications.

Hemmingsen joins from UiT The Arctic University of Norway, where she was an Associate Professor with interdisciplinary research experience spanning lipids, bioactive compounds and pharmaceutical technology.

In the new role, she will help connect research, product development and commercial priorities, with responsibility for scientific documentation, external collaborations and science based communication with customers and partners.

Her responsibilities will include strengthening the scientific documentation of Zooca Calanus Oil and other marine ingredients for human health and nutrition, as well as initiating and coordinating external research projects with academic and industry partners. “Zooca has a strong foundation in marine science and ingredient innovation. I look forward to helping strengthen the scientific basis for Zooca Calanus Oil and translating research into relevant applications and clear communication,” said Lisa Hemmingsen.
