With over 60 years dedicated to developing solutions in functional foods and nutraceuticals, COMERCIAL QUIMICA MASSÓ (Massó) will work with Aker BioMarine to bring innovative new health ingredients to consumers in Spain and Portugal. Together, they will develop krill oil products for key brands, and in addition, Massó will be the first distributor partner for Aker BioMarine to introduce Revervia®, a new algae ingredient with the highest, natural concentration of DHA omega-3 oil, in the region.
Aker BioMarine a global biotech and ingredient innovator, is pleased to announce its exclusive partnership with Massó, a distributor of chemical specialties across various industries including nutraceuticals. For over 60 years, Massó has brought a high level of specialization and tailor-made products to create new business opportunities for brands across Europe. As part of this new agreement, Massó will sell krill and algae oil products in both Spain and Portugal and will put emphasis on relaunching these ingredients in the Iberian market.
The new distribution agreement, covering health supplements such as Superba Krill® Oil (Superba2® and Superba Boost®) underscores Aker BioMarine’s commitment to providing high-quality, sustainable krill oil products to customers in this region. As a natural complex of marine phospholipids with omega-3 EPA & DHA, choline and astaxanthin, Superba is a leading krill oil ingredient that is experiencing growth and interest like never before in multiple health areas as a platform for innovation in combination formulations. In addition to Superba Krill Oil, Massó will be the first distribution partner in the region to bring Revervia to key brands.
Revervia is a new algae oil delivering 60% DHA, the highest, natural concentration of algae DHA on the market. It is a natural triglyceride that is minimally processed. Equally important is Revervia’s sustainability factor, with a gentle, solvent free process, produced with minimal impact on marine resources.
