Bioiberica, a global life science company committed to improving the health and well-being of people, animals and plants, has announced two strategic ventures in the mobility arena – a new partnership with IFA Celtics in Mexico, Latin America and a continuing alliance with FAES FARMA in Spain, Europe. Both collaborations have inspired the development of advanced joint health formulations utilising Bioiberica’s leading branded ingredients, Collavant n2 native (undenatured) type II collagen and Mobilee® – an industry-first hyaluronic acid matrix ingredient. The announcement underscores Bioiberica’s position as the first-choice partner for co-innovation in the growing global mobility space, and how it continues to empower the healthcare evolution in new territories worldwide.
Growing global presence
Bioiberica’s most recent venture with IFA Celtics has led to the development of Hialoflex® – launched to the Mexican joint health market in May 2023. The unique product formula combined two of Bioiberica’s key branded ingredients, Collavant n2 (40 mg) and Mobilee® (80 mg) – the first time the powerful blend has been leveraged in the country. Collavant n2 is a next generation native (undenatured) type II collagen inspiring cutting-edge innovation in the joint health market because of its distinctive mechanism of action and low effective dosage. Whereas Mobilee® is the first hyaluronic acid matrix ingredient in the mobility space to support joint and muscle health via a patented combination of hyaluronic acid, polysaccharides and collagen.
“As a trusted brand that serves many physicians – who are key stakeholders in the local market – it’s important for us to have confidence in the ingredients we choose for our finished products. Quality, science and safety always guide our decisions, and that’s exactly why we chose Bioiberica’s Collavant n2 and Mobilee® solutions,” says Dr. Julio H. Morfin, Medical Director at IFA Celtics. “But we didn’t team up with the company for its ingredient offering alone. A renowned name in the joint health sector, with 20-plus years of experience in the field, our collaboration saw us benefit from the support of Bioiberica’s experienced marketing and technical teams, 360-degree view of the landscape and expert-led training sessions.”
Cementing its position in Europe
As well as strengthening its foothold in Latin America, Bioiberica continues to make waves in Europe. Recognised as one of Spain’s leading collagen brands, FAES FARMA opted to partner with Bioiberica to extend its advanced product range in the region – incorporating Collavant n2 as a key ingredient in its finished supplement, Vitanatur MULTICOLLAGEN. The capsules, launched in Spain in May 2023, contain 40 mg Collavant n2, plus eggshell membrane (containing type I, V and X collagen), hyaluronic acid, magnesium and vitamins C, K2 and D3 to deliver support to joints, bones and skin.
“We’re experts in collagen. However, bringing a new product to market is never risk-free, especially in a fast-growing and competitive landscape, like the mobility arena”, comments Marina Escudero Garcia, Product Manager Healthcare & Consumer at FAES FARMA. “With Bioiberica’s support and understanding of the local market, we were able to develop and launch Vitanatur MULTICOLLAGEN with speed, ease and confidence.”
As well as FAES FARMA, Bioiberica’s Collavant n2 native type II collagen is being featured in top Spanish brands, including Colnatur® by Laboratorios Ordesa and Aritcolageno® Nativo Plus by Reig Jofre.
