Emmi Kaltbach was named one of the best cheeses in the world at the prestigious World Cheese Awards 2023 in Trondheim, Norway. Kaltbach Appenzeller and Kaltbach Engadiner Bergkäse were both awarded the Super Gold rating.
For over 30 years, the world’s best cheeses have been honoured at the prestigious World Cheese Awards. Last Friday in Trondheim, Norway, 16 experts from around the world tested more than 4,000 cheeses from over 40 countries and assessed them based on appearance and taste. This year the Emmi Group has earned 18 awards. The Kaltbach Appenzeller and Kaltbach Engadiner Bergkäse both received the Super Gold award. The Gold category included Kaltbach Gold Swiss Gouda and Kaltbach Le Gruyère AOP from Switzerland, as well as Lamb Chopper and Wagon Wheel from US subsidiaries Cypress Grove and Cowgirl Creamery.
