Kappa Bioscience® strengthens U.S. presence with new Vice President of sales in North America

Kappa Bioscience® (www.kappabio.com), the leading manufacturer of Vitamin K2 under the brand name K2VITAL®, announces the appointment of Rena Cohen-First as Vice President of Sales North America. Following the opening of Kappa Bioscience USA in New Jersey in 2021, the new position solidifies the company’s strategic commitment to meeting the growing demand for an agile and customer-focused vitamin K2 supplier in the United States.

Cohen-First joins the company from OmniActive Health Technologies, where she was Vice President of Sales for the Western Region. Having worked with leading multinational brands, Cohen-First brings 25 years of experience in the food, beverage, and supplement industries and invaluable behind-the-scenes market knowledge.

Cohen-First says: “Kappa is a remarkable leader, truly pushing the tipping point of K2’s global impact on health and wellness. I’m excited to work with our partners to help bring this awareness to North American consumers.”

Kappa Bioscience’s roadmap to growth in the U.S. has been developed to keep bringing value to new and potential customers in the region. It includes creating a steady number of jobs and establishing a production site on the East Coast. Intending to be physically and culturally close to the territory, the company hired sales managers in all key regions.

“Expanding and growing in the U.S. is a natural progression considering the size and potential of our company. It will help us support our distributor AIDP better and communicate directly with our customers,” comments President of Kappa Bioscience USA.

“The first year with a U.S. branch office was a remarkable success for the Kappa Group, and we were able to strengthen the quality of our client relationships significantly” adds Büttinghaus. “Kappa Bioscience is well-positioned for explosive market growth, and I am pleased that the group’s expansion efforts are showing the desired success”.

Lately, Kappa has formed its Scientific and Medical Advisory Board, including top-class experts from the U.S., to maintain its leadership position in the K2 sector and bring the remarkable health benefits of vitamin K2 to a growing number of consumers worldwide.

In addition, Kappa Bioscience maintains a research partnership with the University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio, to investigate the relationship between vitamin K deficiency and the immune system.
