Nuherbs, the leading TCM ingredients supplier, will launch a new growing partnership focused on Organic Mexican Hibiscus at SupplySide West in Las Vegas November 2 -3, 2022. Nuherbs vertical integration of its organic hibiscus ingredients sets this project apart. It is designed to avoid the supply chain vulnerabilities inherent in obtaining most hibiscus raw material, while reducing the carbon footprint of this botanical for North American users.
Nuherbs Organic hibiscus is available in multiple forms: whole flower (TBC, C/S, & powder), Phytohib™ liquid, and Phytohib™ powder extract. The CleanBrew ™ extraction process is used to produce Nuherbs organic PhytoHib™ 45 Brix Hibiscus liquid extract and organic PhytoHib™100 hibiscus powder extract, so there are no solvent residues. PhytoHib ™100 doesn’t have any carriers, it’s just hibiscus extract.
The supply chain for Nuherbs’ hibiscus products is vertically integrated, and the growing source is purposely close to the US. “Most of the hibiscus on the market is from Sudan and Nigeria, and is shipped from Africa to Egypt or Europe for further processing, and then on to US,’ said Nuherbs President Wilson Lau. “The disruption of the past few years from unanticipated events was the motivation for building the supply chain for this product closer to home. This also profoundly lowers the carbon footprint of the product for our customers in the North American market.”
Nuherbs also offers Organic and lab tested Chinese herbs that are sustainably-sourced, pharmacopeia-grade, and geo-authentic. Each lot is tested for identity, pesticide residues, heavy metals, and micro bacteria. Nuherbs provides standardized extracts that can be tailored to type of solvents, carriers, etc. to produce ingredients fit for customers’ specific needs.
