The ambition is to be the unifying destination for the future of food technology when FoodTech takes place from 1-3 October 2024 at MCH Messecenter Herning, Denmark. A destination where the industry focuses on progress and jointly explores solutions to today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.
The framework is the same, but the FoodTech DNA has evolved as in October the focus will once again be on innovative food technology solutions. Being the meeting place of the industry, FoodTech aims to challenge the food industry’s status quo, to inspire and to help push the boundaries of what is possible within food technology.
– The ambition is for FoodTech to be the destination where the industry meets to explore solutions that can make a difference and where the direction of future food technology is set. Together with the exhibitors and their customers, we want to create an inspiring and innovative meeting place where we can learn more about how to create the solutions of the future, says Thue Bjørslev Jensen, Project Manager at MCH A/S.
The green transition will also be central, as FoodTech reinforces the ambition to be a place with a special focus on solutions that can help create a more sustainable future.
New conference sets the direction
The ambitions for FoodTech mean that a transformed experience is in store, and exhibitors and visitors alike will be able to experience and participate in several new events and activities that support FoodTech’s renewed DNA. These include the Global Dilemma Conference, which aims to articulate and explore different aspects of the future of the food industry.
– The conference will address the major dilemmas and challenges facing the food industry, such as the green transition. The ambition is for the conference to focus on the relevant questions in relation to the challenges of the future and to act as a meeting place with room for both people and opinions – and for the participants to become wiser and better equipped for the challenges of the future, explains Thue Bjørslev Jensen.
The conference, which is organised in collaboration with Insight Event Denmark, will take place on two stages – one focusing on the big questions and dilemmas in the industry via panel debates, discussions and keynote speeches, and one offering specialist lectures, e.g. from exhibitors, who will have the opportunity to present cases and solutions.
Familiar features and great support
In addition to the new events and activities being announced, FoodTech 2024 will also include popular recurring events such as the IFC International Food Contest and Water & Energy, which includes the IFC Water Congress.
And there are signs that exhibitors are keen to protect the traditional elements and embrace the new DNA and what it entails to be part of the solution to future challenges in the food industry – at least more than 225 exhibitors have already secured a stand at this year’s trade fair.
