Syensqo marks its entry into the pet food nutrition market with natural flavor and preservation solutions, expanding beyond its consumer Food & Beverages focus
Syensqo will present its range of nature- and science-inspired ingredients at Food Ingredients Europe 2025, showcasing solutions that enhance flavor, freshness and consumer trust in food, beverages and pet nutrition. These innovations help manufacturers deliver great taste with reliable flavors and preservation solutions, meeting growing demand for more natural ingredients and tastier products.
Innovations for food applications
At the event, Syensqo will present its range of flavor and preservation solutions designed for performance, reliability and compliance across food and beverage applications. These include:
- Riza: A range of natural antioxidants, available in liquid and powder forms, based on wild rosemary extracts that extend shelf life and preserve freshness, offering food manufacturers an alternative to synthetic preservatives.
- Rhovanil® – High purity vanillin, available in several grades that meet diverse needs, from bakery products to beverages. Syensqo recently announced it will restart its synthetic vanillin production unit in Saint-Fons, France, by the end of 2025, ensuring greater supply reliability for European customers.
- Rhovanil® Natural – Bio-based vanillin from fermentation, compliant with both EU and US natural flavor labeling requirements.
- Rhodiarome® – Ethyl Vanillin, delivering three times more flavor intensity than standard vanillin.
Dedicated pet food solutions – showcased in the FI Europe Pet Food Zone
For the first time, Syensqo will also feature its dedicated solutions for pet nutrition at FI Europe, extending its ingredient expertise into the fast-growing pet food market.
Driven by the humanization of pet food, these innovations help manufacturers create recipes that combine taste and quality similar to human food. They include:
- Rhovea® Feed – A vanillin grade tailored for pet and animal nutrition, improving palatability, masking off-notes and enhancing overall flavor balance.
- Riza® 35 – A highly deodorized rosemary extract that ensures strong antioxidant protection in pet food without impacting taste or aroma.
Conference and live tasting demos
During the event, Syensqo experts will share their technical insights in a session titled “Extending shelf life naturally with rosemary extracts.” The session will demonstrate how rosemary’s natural antioxidant properties help maintain freshness and stability without synthetic additives.
