“Using fermentation to contribute to a sustainable future”

Food Ingredients Europe Frankfurt (30/11-02/12)

The theme for our FIE participation this year is “Using fermentation to contribute to a sustainable future”. This theme puts a spotlight on our sustainability efforts and has been chosen to enable us to leverage from Chr. Hansen’s 2021 ranking as the world’s most sustainable biotech company. It underlines the positive impact Chr. Hansen’s products have on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, highlights the benefits of a natural fermentation process and how Chr. Hansen can bring innovation through our microbial solutions.

Our communication initiatives will focus on reducing food waste with FRESHQ®, getting more out of milk with CHY-MAX® Supreme or MICROLANT® coagulant ranges and reducing sugar with SWEETY® cultures or Ha-Lactase®. We will promote our probiotic solutions for dairy and plant based products, position our newly launched VEGA™ culture range and communicate the important role that our meat cultures play in helping to make meat products and plant-based meat alternatives tastier, safer and with optimized shelf life.

Food Tech Innovation Award

Chr. Hansen’s FreshQ® 3rd gen concept has been nominated for the Food Tech Innovation category.

The winners in all categories will be announced on Tuesday, November 30th, at the awards event between 18.00 – 20.00.
